Stokely Creek Lodge October 2-5, 2014
TBack by popular demand is our fall photography workshop in Northern Ontario’s Algoma Country, hosted by Stokely Creek Lodge and JamesSmedleyOutdoors
In its autumn disguise the Algoma Highlands north of Sault Ste Marie is ablaze with reds, yellows, golds and greens - mirrored in her inland lakes and fast flowing rivers. From broad scenic vistas to the intricate patterns of a single coloured leaf, it's a rich and varied landscape that begs to be photographed.
This year’s workshop has been expanded to run from Thursday evening through to Sunday afternoon to allow more time in the field and the in depth review of participant’s images.
A mix of formal instruction in the lodge combined with hands on, one-on-one instruction in the field will help photographers of all levels propel their photographs from the ordinary to extraordinary.
"Creating dynamic images is not the same as just taking pictures. I look forward to helping participants get more from themselves and their cameras," says James Smedley.
Capture the Color at this Great Venue
Not only are the food and accommodations legendary but the cedar shingle buildings themselves are photo-worthy. Nestled in the midst of the hardwood-covered mountains of the Algoma Highlands, Stokely Creek Lodge is enveloped in a rich and rolling autumn landscape - with the reds of sugar maples, yellows of birch and aspen and greens of coniferous. Add the falls, rapids and pools of rollicking Stokely Creek flowing right past the lodge and we have prime shooting locations right on site.
Workshop package includes instruction, accommodation and meals from Thursday dinner to Sunday lunch.
